artist statement

At some point in our lives we experience a state of overwhelming sadness, anxiety or hopelessness. In this dark period it's not easy to
see past the pain, especially when you're hurting and seemingly nothing goes your way. But it's in the dark times where we can really grow;
the superficial layers are stripped away allowing us to see what is true, what had potentially been there all along. This series explores both what
it means to be wounded and finding resolution.
The paintings will be on view at Octane Coffee Bar & Lounge - June 2-30, 2009
Reception: Saturday June 13th, 6-9pm.

I'm a creative director + designer in Atlanta with a long career in the design industry creating interactive solutions for
clients large and small. A few years ago I decided to “walk the path not taken” - that of a fine artist. This is my second show,
exploring the human condition.
Feel free to contact me with questions and to discuss the work.
Thanks
