Bucky's Wonderful Adventure
How do you matter to Baby Boomers and Millennials?
UW-Madison needed to reach out and attract their alumni for the annual Share the Wonderful fundraising event. We decided the best approach was to create a game that recalled life at UW-Madison using their lovable mascot, Bucky Badger.
The idea for the 8-bit, Nintendo-inspired aesthetic became the focal point because it was approachable for older alumnus who might have played Atari as a kid, but was also retro-cool for Millennials. The game was a huge hit and a major draw to the Share The Wonderful site.
The annual campaign succeeded and raised more than its $10 million dollar goal.
